My name is Cerys Reading and I am a Glasgow based musician with a BA(Hons) Degree in Music from the University of Southampton, where I specialised in Piano Performance, an MA in Creative Practices & Direction (Musical Theatre Creation) from the Guildford School of Acting, and a Professional Graduate Diploma in Musical Direction from The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
PRIVATE LESSONS - ONLINE ONLY
My goal is to provide friendly 1:1 lessons in a relaxed, stress free environment for people of all ages and abilities. I am currently an online piano and vocal tutor for Surrey Arts, and alongside this I teach privately over Zoom.
Piano playing comes in many styles and I am happy to accommodate any student's taste. From classical to contemporary, beginners to experts, I am confident I can work with all students to improve their skills in a way that suits them.
Flexibility is key when it comes to teaching piano and whilst I am usually happy to travel to students homes, owing to the current COVID crisis I have moved all my teaching online, via Zoom.
Learning the piano can provide huge satisfaction in life, both to children and adults alike. It is a wonderful and versatile introduction to the world of music and it is a lasting skill that can be improved upon indefinitely. I also offer vocal lessons in the same style as my piano lessons, with a very accommodating and flexible approach to student's varying learning styles.
