My name is Cerys Reading and I am a 26 year old musician with a love for musical direction, teaching, arranging and a burning passion for Musical Theatre.
I have been drawn to musical theatre for as long as I can remember; a trip to Les Miserables at age eight firmly sealing my fate! After studying for over 5 years at various institutes, I have now made my home in Glasgow.
Away from studying, I spent the year (2016/17) working at Stoke Climsland Primary School and Callington Community College as a Music TA, working in the classroom with students from Year 2 to A-Level, as well as working with the school choirs. I also enjoyed teaching Tap and Jazz at the Geraldine Lamb Dance School in this time.

I play a range of musical instruments (I have recently purchased a very old and very battered accordion!), and whilst my main specialism is Piano (Grade 8), I also posses qualifications in Oboe, Saxophone and Singing. I have experience with the programme MainStage and am a confident and proficient Sibelius user.
Outside of music I love literature and am a passionate creative writer. Whilst at home for the summer of 2016 I worked as an Admissions Assistant at Cornwall's very own Eden Project - a very different environment compared to my usual theatre fuelled escapades, but a fulfilling one nonetheless! I enjoy photography and drawing and I am always looking to fuel my creativity further. I am still a keen dancer and enjoy the outdoors, especially walking with my two Tibetan Terriers, Poppy and Daisy.
